Motor Vehicle Registration
Note: All registrations require local excise tax, which is included in registration costs.
Also Note: We do not process first time vehicle registrations after 4:00 PM.
New Vehicle Registration
– includes cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, or mopeds.
All new registrations purchased from a licensed dealer require the following items:
- Current mileage
- Proof of insurance
- Blue copy of Title Application
- Proof of Sales Tax paid
- If it is a brand new vehicle, you will need the Monroney Label window sticker
- If you are transferring plates from another vehicle, you will need the previous registration and/or previous plate number
If you are purchasing through private sale:
- Current Mileage
- Proof of Insurance
- Bill of Sale
- Title or blue copy of Title Application if financed
- If you are financing, you will need the Lienholders name and address
Re-registering your Vehicle
If you are reregistering your vehicle, you will need to bring with you the following items:
- Current mileage
- Proof of insurance
- Previous registration

Trailer Registration
New Trailer Registrations: includes utility, boat, flat bed, and camper trailers.
All new trailer registrations from a dealer require the following items:
- VIN Number or Certificate of Origin
- Bill of Sale
- Proof of Sales Tax paid
- If shipping weight is over 3,000 lbs, you will need the title
Trailer Registration Renewal: You will need to bring with you the following:
- Previous registration
